Ogie Diaz cites mutual friend confirming Kim Chiu, Xian Lim split 2 months ago

Ogie Diaz claimed that Kim Chiu and Xian Lim have indeed broken up, saying the reason behind the split was not a third party but the actor’s apparent “lack of plans” in their over-a-decade relationship.

“A friend of mine and a friend of Xian and Kim Chiu told me na totoong hiwalay na si Kim Chiu at si Xian Lim (that it is true—Kim Chiu and Xian Lim have split),” Diaz said in his YouTube vlog on Tuesday, Dec. 12.

“Hindi lang maamin ni Kim Chiu kasi nga pinoproseso pa ni Kim Chiu, at si Xian syempre ‘di mo rin siya maasahan na magkomento or magbigay ng kanyang statement tungkol dito,” he added.

(Kim can’t admit it yet because she’s still processing it. Xian, meanwhile, seems not inclined to comment or give a statement about this.)

Diaz further disclosed that Chiu and Lim’s breakup happened about two months ago, after former power couple Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla parted ways.

When asked what caused Chiu and Lim’s split, Diaz told his fellow hosts Mama Loi Villarama and Jegs, “Sabi sa akin nung friend ko, wala naman daw third party.” (My friend told me that there was no third party.)

“It’s just that parang walang mga plano si Xian sa kanilang 12 years na relationship; parang hindi niya priority. Parang naghihintay lang si Kim Chiu ng proposal dahil 12 years na sila e.”

(It’s just that Xian appeared to have no plans for the two of them despite being in a 12-year relationship. Their relationship wasn’t his priority. Kim Chiu was just waiting for his marriage proposal.)

“Nung nagsplit sila, tsaka naman natin nababalitaan ‘yung Iris Lee,” Diaz added, referring to the film producer that is being linked to the actor.  (After the split, the rumors about Iris Lee then arose.)

Citing his source, Diaz then told fans to not be surprised if the actor would no longer be seen on Chiu’s upcoming vlogs.

“Hayaan natin silang sumagot [sa mga rumors]. Baka naman mali ang source ko sa pagsasabi ng gano’n… Isa raw sa mga araw na ito ay magsasalita na rin finally si Kim Chiu,” Diaz said.

(We should let [the pair] answer the rumors. My source might be wrong… I was told that Kim will finally speak about it soon.)

Chiu and Lim have been together since 2012. The “It’s Showtime” host denied the breakup speculations in early November but when asked about it again weeks later, Chiu said, “We’ll just keep it to ourselves [for the meantime].”

While the couple has yet to publicly comment on the matter, Lim further fueled the split speculations after he removed from his YouTube channel majority of his vlogs including those with Chiu.
