Kim Chiu chose to keep mum amid reports that she and boyfriend Xian Lim have already called it quits after almost a decade together.

During a brief interview with ABS-CBN News on its YouTube channel, the “Linlang” actress said her romance with the Kapuso actor is a private matter that should be kept between them.

“Grabe. Sa amin na lang muna ‘yun. We’ll just keep it to ourselves na muna (That’s too much! The matter is just between us for now. We’ll just keep it to ourselves for the meantime),” she said.

The actress’ statement comes weeks after she denied that her romance with Lim was among those longstanding show biz relationships that are on shaky ground.

“Okay naman po kami ni Xi. Mapanlinlang lang ang showbiz, pero maayos naman [kami]. Masaya naman po (Xi and I are okay. Showbiz can be deceiving. But we’re okay. We’re happy),” she told reporters last Oct. 31, on the sidelines of “Linlang’s” thanksgiving press conference.

Lim, too, has yet to address breakup rumors, as of this writing. Speculations about their relationship started after netizens noticed their absence on their respective partner’s Instagram accounts.

Chiu and Lim started dating in 2012, working together in a number of projects on the Kapamilya network, among them “My Binondo Girl,” “Bride for Rent,” and “Bakit ‘Di Ka Crush ng Crush Mo,” to name a few.
