Vice Ganda on Daniel Padilla-Kathryn Bernardo split: ‘I’m sad, until now’

Both fans and celebrities are still reeling from the controversial breakup of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, among them TV host-comedian Vice Ganda, who was close to both actors.
In a recent interview with MJ Felipe, the “Its Showtime” host expressed his sadness over the split of the former showbiz couple, noting how close he was to both of them, and had even guested them several times on his shows.
“I’m sad. Until now I’m sad. Yun lang, yung damdamin ko bilang malapit sa kanilang dalawa, bilang fan nilang dalawa. Malungkot ako,” he said.
The comedy star also stated that it’s not easy to see two people who used to be happy together but are now going separate ways to prioritize their own happiness.
“Parang hindi yata normal kung magiging masaya tayo na nakikitang may dalawang taong malungkot. Dalawang tao na dating masaya, tapos ngayon hindi na masaya sa piling ng isa’t isa,” said Vice Ganda “Normal na damdamin lang yon, na katulad ng iba na malungkot.”
Wish for the former couple
When asked what his wish was for both Kathryn and Daniel, Vice Ganda said he wished to see them happy again.
“I wish them peace, healing, and joy. Gusto ko silang makita na masaya ulit,” he said.
The phenomenal star was also asked if he had already seen Kathryn’s new hair, which the actress debuted on her Instagram as her first post after confirming her breakup with her first and long-term boyfriend.
“Sana nakakadagdag ‘yon sa kasiyahang nararamdaman niya. Kung ano man ang pamamaraan nila ng pagcocope, suportahan na lang natin,” affirmed Vice.
On Nov. 30, Kathryn and Daniel confirmed their breakup via a separate Instagram post. According to the actress, she is aware of the rumors that have been going around, and despite their efforts to rise above their challenges, the relationship is not working anymore.
Meanwhile, Daniel has yet to speak up about the many allegations that are being thrown at him and the alleged third party, Andrea Brillantes. Nor did Brillantes acknowledged reports linking him to the half of the KathNiel love team.
