LOOK: SB19, Regine Velasquez grace covers of Billboard Philippines maiden issues
SB19 and Regine Velasquez displayed their dominance in the local music scene as they graced the covers of Billboard Philippines maiden issues, which was launched last Sunday, Oct. 15.
The five-piece act, dubbed as the “Kings of P-pop,” gave off a domineering vibe in modern ternos with turtleneck collars by Avel Bacudio, black trousers, and black gloves, as seen on the music platform’s Instagram account. The cover photo was taken by photographer Borgy Angeles.
SB19’s looks were put together by hairstylist Mark Familiara, makeup artist Mac Igarta, and fashion stylists Em Millan and Rain Dagala.
“Never stagnant and always evolving, introducing the debut cover stars of Billboard Philippines — the Kings of P-pop, SB19,” the post read. “Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin expand on their journey from aspiring artists to beloved pop stars, the future of Filipino music, and their unwavering connection with their fans, A’TIN.”

Pablo, Josh, Stell, Ken, and Justin also looked dashing in their respective sleek, black outfits, as seen in a separate post, which showed them posing for an individual cover shoot.
Article continues after this advertisementVelasquez, on the other hand, was a sight to behold in a structured black top with shoulder pads and a pencil skirt which was designed by Bacudio. Angeles also served as the photographer of the shoot.

SB19 and Velasquez established themselves as two of the biggest music artists in the Philippines, known for their respective achievements throughout their careers.
The quintet recently made headlines after their smash hit “Gento” was considered for a Best Pop Duo/Group Performance nomination at the 66th Grammy Awards. Earlier this month, SB19 officially launched their own company 1Z Entertainment, and their leader Pablo was named as the chief executive office (CEO).
Meanwhile, Velasquez is dubbed as Asia’s Songbird and is one of the most influential figures in OPM and local pop culture. Among her hit songs include “Dadalhin,” “Narito Ako,” “Araw Gabi,” “Tuwing Umuulan,” and “Hanggang Ngayon,” just to name a few. EDV
