Golden Globe nominee Dolly de Leon took a tumble off her chair after her “A Very Good Girl” co-star Kathryn Bernardo playfully pushed her just a little bit too much during a lie detector game for the promotion of their movie.

In the video uploaded by influencer site Rec•Create on YouTube last Saturday, Sept. 23, De Leon and Bernardo’s chemistry and camaraderie can be seen as they interact with one another.

Then came the portion where the actresses “[faced] each other and [tested] their friendship” as they took on the lie detector game.

During the challenge, Bernardo and De Leon asked each other questions that were given by the staff. While answering the questions, the actresses had one of their hands on a lie detector device which apparently emits electric shock if the user tells a lie.

“Oh my God! What kind of a question is this?… Do you think I’m a good actress?” De Leon read one of the questions, to which Bernardo immediately replied, “Yes.”

However, the device emitted electric shock and implied that the younger actress did not answer the question truthfully.

“Hoy, bakit ako nakuryente? Sobrang sinungaling ko (Hey, why was I electrocuted? I am such a liar),” Bernardo said, adding that bashers would attack her for lying. De Leon then assured Bernardo that she believed the latter was sincere with her answer.

“Yes, because una, bakit ko ‘to gagawin with Ms. D (De Leon)? Bakit ako nandito at bakit namin tinapos ‘yung pelikula kung hindi, ‘di ba?” Bernardo said.

(Yes, because first of all, why would I do this with Ms. D and why would I be here? Also, we would have not finished the film together [if I do not think she’s a good actress], right?)

Bernardo asked the same question to De Leon, who answered yes but was also electrocuted by the lie detector device.

“I don’t have to prove myself. She is [really a good actress],” De Leon said. “I really believe that she is. You can ask anyone, any of my friends, my kids — they all know that bilib ako sa kanya (I admire her) as an actor.”

Bernardo, who seemingly could not contain the flattery, then jokingly pushed De Leon, causing the latter to fall off her seat.

“Oh my God! Ms. D! Joke lang ‘yon! Joke lang ‘yon or nahulog ka? (That was only a joke! Were you joking or did you really fall off your chair?)” Bernardo exclaimed, rushing off to De Leon to help her stand up.

“Joke lang ‘yon (That was only a joke),” De Leon clarified, quipping that entertainment news headlines would be about Bernardo “injuring” her.

The actresses burst into laughter then proceeded to answer other questions, which tackled their thoughts on quitting acting and conforming to the industry’s standards of beauty and appearance.

“A Very Good Girl” revolves around two self-made women—Molly portrayed by De Leon and Philo played by Bernardo—who navigate their lives trying “to do the right thing.”

Other cast members in the Petersen Vargas-helmed film include Angel Aquino, Chie Filomeno, Jake Ejercito, Donna Cariaga, Gillian Vicencio, Ana Abad Santos, Kaori Oinuma, Althea Ruedas, Nathania Guerrero and Nour Hooshmand. The movie is set to hit theaters on Sept. 27. EDV
