Angeline Quinto dreams of playing mother role in a movie
As Angeline Quinto welcomed a new chapter of her life last year with the birth of her son Sylvio, the “ASAP Natin ‘To” mainstay is hoping for an opportunity to portray the role of a mother in a film project.
In an interview recently uploaded on Star Magic’s YouTube channel, the 33-year-old singer revealed that she wants to play the role of a mother in a light-hearted movie that would inspire fellow new moms.
“Ang dream role ko, gusto kong makagawa ng isang movie na — ngayon ha — ‘yung bilang nanay din… Siguro ‘yung… masayang movie lang na makaka-inspire sa lahat ng mga nanay, lalo sa mga first-time mom na katulad ko,” expressed the actress-singer, who gave birth to her firstborn in April 2022.
(My dream role, I want to do a movie that — I mean, right now — where I portray a mother as well… I guess, a movie that’s just happy, that would inspire all mothers, especially first-time moms like myself.)
Quinto also shared about a prior aspiration of starring in an action movie. “Katulad ng mga ginagawa ni Angel Locsin (Like the roles portrayed by Angel Locsin),” explained the “Patuloy and Pangarap” singer, who started to give more value to self-care after becoming a mother.

Meanwhile, the “Star Power” champion, who is currently engaged to Sylvio’s father, Nonrev Daquina, also opened up about her first movie project. In 2012, she starred alongside Coco Martin in the Jerome Pobocan-helmed “Born to Love You.”
“[S]a totoo lang, napaka-awkward ko pang umarte no’n. ‘Yung parang, sobrang kabado ako sa lahat ng ginagawa ko (To be honest, my acting was very awkward then. It’s like, I was so nervous about everything I was doing),” she revealed, and also shared that, after wrapping up filming for the movie, she realized that she can actually act. EDV
