Parokya ni Edgar musical confirmed for 2024
“Buruguduystunstugudunstuy” — a theater production dedicated to the music of the iconic rock band Parokya ni Edgar is set to be staged in 2024.
The musical, which is based on the band’s sophomore album, is in the works, according to an Instagram post by Newport World Resorts (NWR) on Monday, Sept. 10. Details about its storyline and show dates, however, are yet to be disclosed, as of this writing.
“IT’S OFFICIAL! ‘Buruguduystunstugudunstuy: Ang Parokya Ni Edgar Musical’ is happening this 2024,” the caption read.

Auditions for the musical were opened to theater actors “between 18 to 50 years old” with “acting, singing, and dancing” abilities, as seen in a separate post.

Formed in 1993, Parokya ni Edgar is known as one of the biggest rock bands in the Philippines which consists of members Chito Miranda, Gab Chee Kee, Buwi Meneses, Darius Semaña, Dindin Moreno, and Vinci Montaner.
Among the band’s hit songs include “Gitara,” “Harana,” “Your Song,” “Inuman Na!,” “Pangarap Lang Kita,” “The Ordertaker,” and “Mr. Suave,” among many others. EDV
