Jericho Rosales said that he is not inclined to “explain himself to anyone” as he brushed off fresh rumors of his alleged separation from his wife, fashion influencer-model Kim Jones.
Speaking to entertainment platform Philippine Entertainment Portal, Rosales said he and Jones are “keeping [themselves] busy” with their careers while pointing out that “people are entitled to their own opinion.”
“People are entitled to think what they think. I mean, ano ang gagawin ko? Tatawa lang ako (I mean, what can I do? I can just laugh it off). But it’s okay, people are entitled to their own opinion, I’m really not that type of person na I really have to explain myself to anyone,” he was quoted as saying.
“What you see is what you get. As long as [we] Iive in peace, in love and respect, ‘yun na ang importante sa akin (this is what’s important for me),” he further said.
The actor then revealed that his wife is setting her sights on directing short films for fashion brands and writing, adding that they even co-wrote a script for the former’s upcoming projects. Details are yet to be disclosed, as of this writing.
“During pandemic, she transitioned from fashion to directing. She’s also writing for scripts. She actually wrote one of my projects. She co-wrote it with me. She’s directing now. She just finished directing two videos, you’ll see it soon sa Instagram. Basically big fashion names, that’s what she does, gumawa ng short films (create short films) for fashion brands for now,” he said, per report.
The “Pangako Sa’yo” star, who’s set to open his own production company, also shared that he produced a film that Jones helmed herself.
“But we’re also producing her movie, her film. We’re working on it, she’s writing, directing, and acting. Obviously, it’s not gonna take three months, six months, it will take a year or two, parang ganu’n (just like that). That’s what’s keeping us busy,” he said.
Rumors of Rosales and Jones’ alleged split surfaced in 2022, although the couple seemingly denied their separation as they exchanged sweet messages to each other on the former’s birthday.
The couple, who crossed paths in 2011, tied the knot in Boracay in May 2014. They temporarily lived in New York in February of last year. EDV
