Iya Villania ‘so glad’ wanting just two kids before ‘was just a phase’; Drew Arellano teases ‘Phase 5’
After the birth of her first child Primo, TV host and mom-of-four Iya Villania was settled on just adding one more member to her family — an idea which she’s now glad was “just a phase.”
On her Instagram page, the Kapuso anchor shared a throwback photo of her and baby Primo in 2016, noting in the caption how she thought “that mothering is hard” when they were only a family of three.”I was so exhausted,” she said.
She added, “I knew I wanted to have a lot of kids but after having Primo I was settling with the idea of just having 2 here [laughing-crying emoji].”
But Villania, who gave birth to her fourth child last year, now claimed, “I’m so glad it was just a phase [grinning-squinting emoji].”

Some mothers in the comments section expressed how they can relate to Villania, with one user sharing how undergoing a C-section procedure made her tell herself, “this is enough.”

But it seemed that Villania’s husband, travel show host Drew Arellano is not ready yet to stop at four when he teased his wife in the comments. “And now, it’s phase 5 [laughing-crying emoji],” he said, to which Villania reacted, “Hoy! Linawin mo yung phase 5, pare!!!!” (Hey! Clarify what you mean by phase 5, man!!!!)
Javier Olives, who is a friend of the couple, also commented, “May announcement ba?” to which his wife, musician Hannah Romawac reacted, “Sana wala (I hope there’s none.) wahahahaha [crying-laughing emoji].”
Villania, seemingly assuring her friend, replied, “Relaaaaax!!! [crying-laughing emoji].”
The couple tied the knot in 2014 after being together for almost 10 years, and would expand their family with the birth of Primo, Leon, only daughter Alana, and Astro. EDV
