“Being in the beauty pageant industry, my fellow queens and I understand the value of supporting other women, and lifting each other up through the different challenges we face,” she said. “In this industry, that support system is one of the things that actually keeps us going. We chose to be in this industry, for its platform, its reach, [and] personal growth. We allow ourselves to be authentic and vulnerable in the sea of noise that tries to tell us how and who we [should be].”

It’s so disappointing to see this happen online. and if [that’s] the way you show support, i can only implore you to rethink your actions and [choose kindness instead. lifting one person up [doesn’t] need to be through the destruction of someone else,” she added.
