It seems that Sunshine Cruz and Cesar Montano have put the past behind them, as the former revealed that she’s willing to work with her ex-husband in future projects.

Cruz revealed that she was offered a role in Montano’s upcoming project during an ambush interview with reporters, after being asked about the possibility of working with the seasoned actor again.

“Noong graduation ng anak ko, almost three hours kaming magkatabi sa upuan. So, we talked about things na meron siyang script, parang he’s considering me to be a part of it. So why not,” she said in response.

Although the actress admitted that she has no idea about her ex-husband’s upcoming project, she stated that it’s an “honor” to share the spotlight with him.

“I don’t know,” she said. “But whatever it is, aba. Kung kaya ng schedule ko, it’s an honor to work with Mr. Cesar Montano na alam naman nating napakahusay niyang artista (But whatever it is, if my schedule permits, it’s an honor to work with Cesar Montano because we know that he’s a really great actor),” she continued.

The “Unbreak My Heart” cast member also noted that she and Montano are “very much okay,” saying that time allowed both of them to heal.

“I think nakikita naman ng mga tao sa photos na we’re okay na, very much okay. Ten years naman na. Kung ang sugat nga, naghihilom eh. I really think that time heals all wounds (I think the public have seen in the photos that we’re okay, very much okay. It’s been 10 years since then. Wounds can heal after all. I really think that time heals all wounds),” she said.

Cruz’s admission comes weeks after it was revealed that Montano spent Mother’s Day with his ex-wife and Angeles at a Japanese restaurant in Muntinlupa City, as disclosed by Philippine Daily Inquirer columnist Dolly Carvajal.
