LOOK: Andrea Brillantes dons ‘Yes’ shirt during anniversary date with Ricci Rivero

It has been a year since Ricci Rivero asked Andrea Brillantes to be his girlfriend after a basketball game, yet the actress seemed to hold the memory close to her heart when the couple celebrated their first anniversary.
Brillantes became official with Rivero following the latter’s surprise proposal after his University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) game in April 2022. At that time, the athlete asked the actress over the microphone to be his girlfriend, and the she gave her answer by grabbing a shirt with the word “YES” printed on it.
On their anniversary date, the “Kadenang Ginto” star gave in to sentimentality when she wore the same “YES” shirt, as she shared glimpses of their celebration on Instagram on Wednesday, April 12, where the couple can be seen enjoying dinner together at a bubble dining pod.

Brillantes’ fans expressed their delight over the actress’ relationship with Rivero in the comments, with some even hoping that they would last long.
One @cxlestelle said, “Love to see blythe [in] her happiest state!! She’s a woman who knows her worth and finally found someone who knows how to treat her right. Ang genuine ng relationship nilang dalawa. Walang halong showbiz or fan service, just pure love. Stay strong, lovebirds!”
Another @tessbuen1 pointed out, “Nangagamoy healthy relationship! Stay in love!”
Instagram user @itsmekimmdefensor wrote, “I know Ricci is not just used to so many cameras around him esp when he is with his girlfriend kaya nami misinterpret ng iba na akala hindi nya mahal si Blythe but if you take a look at their photos kapag sila lang dalawa and videos, mygaddddddd. Ricci is at his happiest and also Blythe. So [in love].”

Rivero expressed his love for the actress in a separate Instagram post on Monday, April 10, where he uploaded snippets of his favorite relationship memories.
“[One year with you!] Happy anniversary,” he said in the caption.

The celebrity couple made headlines in March 2023 after the “Annaliza” star sought the help of K-pop global sensation Blackpink in her Star Magical Prom proposal to Rivero during the quartet’s Bulacan concert, to which the athlete eventually accepted.
Brillantes revealed at a Q&A vlog back in October 2022 that she was the one who made the “first move” on the athlete, although she noted that Rivero was the first to send a direct message during her “Kadenang Ginto” days. EDV
