LOOK: Heart Evangelista gets a most unexpected birthday gift from husband Chiz Escudero

Heart Evangelista, who is turning 38 years old on Valentine’s Day, was over the moon after receiving a one-of-a-kind face sculpture from her husband, Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero.
Evangelista took to her personal Instagram account on Monday, Feb. 13, to share photos of Escudero’s gift — a molding of the actress’ face from her 2007 teleserye “Hiram na Mukha”. Based on the 1992 film of the same title, the soap opera also starred Geoff Eigenmann and TJ Trinidad.
“[Seventeen] years ago I filmed my telenovela ‘Hiram na Mukha’ [where] they took a molding of my face at that time. I was 21 years old… through the years I always wondered where the molding was,” she said in the caption.

But that’s not all. The actress-fashionista also revealed that Escudero had the bust commissioned by artist Ferdinand Cacnio after locating its original cast.
“I briefly mentioned it to my husband [three] years ago and lo and behold… he was able to locate the original cast [heart emoji] and had it commissioned by one of my favorite artists @ferdiecacnio [heart emoji] amazing :) the happiest birthday indeed thank you @escuderochiz,” she said.
Cacnio hoped that Evangelista was touched with the gift, as seen in the comments section of her post.
“Thank you both @iamhearte and @escuderochiz [heart emojis] Hope you liked your ‘Hiram na Mukha’. Happy birthday [cake emoji], happy Valentine’s Day [too],” he said.

Broadcast journalist Karen Davila, Miss World Philippines 2018 Katarina Rodriguez, actress Janeena Chan, and director Erick Salud were impressed by Escudero’s gesture towards his wife, who only a few months ago had been rumored to be planning to take up residence in Paris, France to pursue her fashion dreams.
“Oh my! This is beautiful,” Davila said.
“I directed Hiram na Mukha if you still remember it. Hehehe…we taped in a place which i wont mention kasi baka ma bash me, where it was so dusty and so humid,” Salud wrote.

Evangelista’s fans also wished her a happy birthday in the comments, and hoped that the gift is another proof of their relationship going strong.

Earlier this month, Evangelista enjoyed an intimate birthday celebration with her loved ones in Tagaytay City, where the politician was present. She also described Escudero as “very supportive” of her endeavors in an exclusive interview with entertainment reporter Nelson Canlas for “24 Oras”, where he accompanied her during Paris Fashion Week on January of this year.
This comes months after the actress quashed breakup rumors with Escudero in December 2022, and were then seen together in New Year’s Eve and a holiday getaway in Japan. EDV
