ARMYs are in for a treat as BTS’ Jimin revealed that his upcoming solo album will be released in March of this year.

“I’m planning lots of different kinds of things we can do to have fun together and enjoy ourselves, so I think you can safely look forward to it… You’ve been waiting for such a long time that I wanted to quickly announce this news first before starting [the broadcast],” he added.

In a follow-up report from Korean media outlet Star News, a representative from Jimin’s agency Big Hit Music said the K-pop artist will “perform about two songs” in music shows following his upcoming solo debut.

Jimin is the fourth member of BTS to release solo work following J-Hope, Jin, and RM.

Prior to his debut, he recorded the single “With You” with Korean soloist Ha Sung-woon in April 2022, which was released as part of the soundtrack of the K-drama “Our Blues”. He also participated in a collaborative track “Bad Decisions”, alongside bandmates Jin, V, and Jungkook, with American rapper Snoop Dogg and U.S.-based record producer Benny Blanco in August of the same year.

Earlier this year, Jimin was also featured in the R&B single “Vibe” with BigBang’s Taeyang — which he considered as one of his favorite artists even before debuting as a member of BTS.

Jimin debuted as the main dancer and lead vocalist of BTS in June 2013. In an interview with Weverse Magazine in November 2020, he revealed that he wants to be a performer where his emotions can “come across to fans.”

“I just hope my emotions come across. I just want the emotions I put into my dancing, actions, and singing to be felt. So I got a lot of feedback, asked around, did some research and found that for each emotion you might express on stage, there’s a body most appropriate for the job,” he was quoted as saying. EDV
