Pokwang has wiped away her tears and is soldiering on for her family, amid the renewed talks about her separation from her former partner Lee O’Brian.
The comedian-actress made a note for herself through a post on her Instagram page on Thursday, Feb. 2. She also showed a photo of herself with the words, “Wipe your tears! Kick their ass*s!”
“Bangon, nanay ka at marami ka pang labada — labada para sa ikauunlad ng pamilya,” she said in the caption. (Rise up, you are a mom and you still have a lot of [commitments to attend to] — commitments for your family.)
Pokwang then earned the admiration of netizens as well as her fellow celebrity mothers Nadia Montenegro, Melissa Mendez and Giselle Sanchez, who all cheered for the comedian via the comments section.
Pokwang confirmed her breakup with O’Brian last July, and has since been co-parenting Malia with him. The comedian clarified at the time that the breakup was not caused by a third party or financial issues, but because she and O’Brian “got tired.”
Pokwang and O’Brian’s breakup recently made headlines again after the comedian revealed that O’Brian is in a new relationship and that the latter did not even make an effort to “swallow his pride” for Malia. Pokwang also disclosed that she had provided for O’Brian when they were still together, adding he has not given child support to their daughter Malia since she was born. /ra
