Simon Cowell’s friend and former on-and-off flame Sinitta expressed her disappointment over a death hoax involving the “America’s Got Talent” judge and called the rumor a “terrible prank.”

The singer clarified that the death hoax was not true while telling the public that she got to talk to Cowell over the phone, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, Jan. 9.

“Talking to him here live #FaceTime but a terrible prank that [Simon Cowell] has died. It freaked me out last night when people started messaging me!” she said. “Simon is NOT dead, people. Very much alive and well. Thank God I have a great sense [of humor] but you really scared me #notfunny.”
