A past vlog featuring Luis Manzano, Nikki Gil, and Iya Villania has resurfaced on social media, after Gil jokingly advised supporters who remember them from their time as MYX VJs that they need to get married already.

Gil, Manzano, and Villania used to be some of the longest serving VJs at ABS-CBN’s music channel MYX, with Gil logging 12 years, while Manzano and Villania stayed for 10 years. One of their most popular appearances include the show “MYX Daily Top Ten” which ranked the trending songs in the local and international music industry.

The vlog, which was uploaded on Manzano’s vlog in April 2022, featured the former MYX VJs meeting up for an intimate gathering at Gil’s house, where Kapamilya star Shaina Magdayao, “Byahe ni Drew” host Drew Arellano, and Gil’s husband, entrepreneur BJ Albert were also included.

Manzano said working alongside Gil and Villania as MYX VJs, as well as the noontime variety show “ASAP Natin ‘To” with Magdayao, were some of the most unforgettable moments in his career.

The final part of the vlog showed Manzano, Gil, and Villania greeting their fans, as they looked back on their time as MYX VJs.

“Sa lahat ng mga manonood noong kami ay nasa MYX pa, alam niyo naman na du’n nagsimula ang aming mga karera,” Manzano said.

(For those who’ve seen us during our time in MYX, you know that it was the platform that launched our careers.)

Gil, in jest, said fans who remembered them from their stint at the music channel should get married already. “Kapag kilala niyo kami, kailangan mo na mag-asawa,” she said.

Of course, netizens can’t help but poke fun at Gil’s remark on social media. In a social media post by INQUIRER.net on Wednesday, Jan. 4, Manzano can’t help but apologize in a deadpan way to fans in the comments.

“Aba’y sorry naman sa mga tinamaan [laughing emojis] sorry kung isa kayo sa mga na late sa school habang nag aantay sino number 1 sa MYX daily top ten 😂😂😂 at mga nag abang sa war namin ni Nikki,” Manzano said.

(Sorry for those who got hurt. Sorry if you used to be late for school just to witness who grabbed the number one spot at “MYX Daily Top Ten,” and for those who wanted to watch our “wars” with Nikki.)

One Lito Jose Blacer, meanwhile, hoped to find a girlfriend.

“Sa tuwing nakakabasa ako ng ganito, natatawa ako. Pero napapaisip na kung may makikilala o darating pa bang babae para sa akin. Sana kung meron, dumating na. Malungkot kasi ang mag-isa. Kaya sana pag may dumating ay dalawa,” he wrote.

(I get amused every time I see posts like these. However, I can’t help but wonder if I’ll find the woman for me. I hope I can finally meet her when she arrives. It’s lonely being alone so if ever, I hope two women arrive.)

Another Sid Lumawig moaned about being single. “Bakit kailangan ng mag-asawa? Requirement ba yun? Bawal ang single,” he said.
