The much-awaited reality drag competition “Drag Den Philippines” will finally premiere this coming December, as it dropped its official teaser today, Nov. 16.
The teaser features “RuPaul’s Drag Race” alum Manila Luzon sitting on a throne in what appears to be a dimly lit underground bunker, as seen on the “Drag Den Philippines” official Twitter page today.
“This is the drag-lord speaking. I just want to inform you that after years and years and years of searching, I finally found it!” she said, followed by a maniacal laugh.
The show’s title card was then flashed onscreen, followed by the words “The Den finally opens December 2022.”

“Drag Den Philippines” was first teased in July last year and it opened auditions a month later in August 2021.
The show then seemingly took a months-long pause starting last May, when it did not release any public updates until Sept. 13. At the time, Manila Luzon quipped that the show was “just on Filipino time.”
“Drag Den Philippines” is produced by Project 8 and Cornerstone Studios. It was supposed to be the Philippines’ first-ever drag competition, but was preceded by “Drag Race Philippines,” the Filipino adaptation of the hit American series “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
Last month, “Drag Race Philippines” and its companion series “Drag Race Philippines: Untucked” were both renewed for a second season. /ra
