“Drag Race Philippines,” based on the Emmy-winning “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” premiered last August under the streaming platforms HBO Go, Discovery Plus and Wow Presents Plus. It was hosted by actor Paolo Ballesteros, who also served as a main judge alongside celebrity impersonator KaladKaren and Filipino drag queen Jiggly Caliente.
The show ended its second season last week, Oct. 12, and named Precious Paula Nicole as the first-ever drag race superstar. Precious Paula Nicole is now set to appear in RuPaul’s DragCon in London with fellow drag queens. /ra
