Jennifer Aniston has spoken up about her experience with in-vitro fertilization (IVF) for the first time, admitting she felt “relief” over not having to worry about pregnancy anymore.

The “Friends” star, who is currently filming the third season of “The Morning Show,” opened up about her struggles with getting pregnant in an exclusive interview with Allure yesterday, Nov. 10.

“I was trying to get pregnant. It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road,” she said in the interview, recalling that “nobody” knew about this part of her life years ago.

Aniston confessed that years of speculations about her fertility was “really hard” on her especially since, at the time, she was going through IVF and drinking Chinese teas, among others, in her attempt to conceive.

“I would’ve given anything if someone had said to me, ‘Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favor.’ You just don’t think it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed,” she was quoted as saying.

Despite the struggles she had to overcome, Aniston does not regret going through her IVF journey.

“I have zero regrets. I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, ‘Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.’ I don’t have to think about that anymore,” she said.

While not naming her ex-husband Brad Pitt, Aniston alluded to rumors following their divorce, saying she was “just selfish” for not wanting to get pregnant and “just cared about [her] career.”

“And the reason my husband left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I wouldn’t give him a kid. It was absolute lies,” she was quoted as saying.

After finally revealing her journey with IVF, Aniston feels like she is “coming out of hibernation.”

“I’ve spent so many years protecting my story about IVF. I’m so protective of these parts because I feel like there’s so little that I get to keep to myself. The [world] creates narratives that aren’t true, so I might as well tell the truth,” she said in the interview.

When asked if she would ever get married again, Aniston did not immediately reject the idea.

“Never say never, but I don’t have any interest. I’d love a relationship. Who knows? […] It would be wonderful to come home and fall into somebody’s arms and say, ‘That was a tough day,'” she stated.

Pitt and Aniston got married in 2000 and got divorced in 2005, though they remained friendly with each other. The actress was also wed to Justin Theroux from 2015 to 2017.  /ra
