Sharon Cuneta asks for prayers as family members test positive for COVID-19
Sharon Cuneta appealed for prayers as she disclosed that three members of her family have contracted COVID-19 after their recent trip to Australia.
The actress-singer showed a COVID-19 test kit with a positive result through her Instagram page on Tuesday, Nov. 1. Cuneta did not immediately specify who from their family caught the virus.
“Should’ve been a happy homecoming from Australia, but [three] family members now down with [COVID-19]. Please pray for the rest of our family and our household staff,” she said.

Fellow celebrities Ogie Alcasid, Jackie Lou Blanco and Beth Tamayo were among those who sent their well-wishes to Cuneta via the comments section.

Her husband Francis “Kiko” Pangilinan along with their kids — Frankie, Miel and Miguel — later followed Megastar to the country where they celebrated Miguel’s 13th birthday.
During one of her shows in Australia, Cuneta sang her hit track “Bituing Walang Ningning” which marked the first time she performed the song over two months since her friend and fellow actress Cherie Gil passed away. EDV
