Kuh Ledesma remembered her friend and fellow singer Danny Javier as she recalled their last meeting which happened days before the latter passed away.

Ledesma paid tribute to Javier while looking back on how he had always been sweet to her, as per her Instagram page on Tuesday, Nov. 1. She then spoke about her visit to Javier which was made possible by his fellow Apo Hiking Society member Boboy Garovillo.

“I’m so grateful to God that I was able to see him just a few days before his passing. Buboy helped me with connections to get in NKI (National Kidney Institute) for a visit and I was allowed in Danny’s [intensive care unit] room,” she said.

“I held Danny’s hand for a whole [30] minutes and I kept praying with him. He nodded a couple of times,” she narrated. “My last words to him were: ‘Focus on Jesus. He loves you so much.'”

Ledesma then addressed Javier and vowed to keep their memories of him, adding that he is now in the “most beautiful and the most peaceful place.”

“I will miss you my dear Danny and I will always treasure the friendship. Thank you for some of the most touching and inspiring songs,” she concluded. “We will never forget.”
