Janine Gutierrez, Lovi Poe’s ‘Sleep with Me’ joins LGBTQ film fest in New York
Janine Gutierrez and Lovi Poe’s queer series “Sleep with Me” has been chosen as one of the entries in the New York-based NewFest film festival.
Project 8, the production company behind “Sleep with Me,” announced that the series is among those that will be screened in NewFest via its Instagram page today, Sept. 21.
“Sleep With Me is an Official Selection at the 34th NewFest, New York City’s largest presenter of LGBTQ+ film [and] media, this October. They described it perfectly, methinks: ‘a rousing romance’ that ‘explores the many ways queerness and disability intersect,'” it stated.
The film will be screened in-person at the SVA Theatre in New York on Oct. 14, while it is available for virtual streaming throughout the duration of the festival from Oct. 13 to 25.
