Judy Ann Santos, Giselle “G” Töngi and Mylene Dizon, cast of the 1996 youth-oriented TV series “Gimik,” had a surprise reunion after unexpectedly meeting one another during their appointment at a salon.

Santos treated fans to a glimpse of the said reunion which was apparently organized by Jing Monis, the salon owner, via the actress’ Instagram Stories yesterday, Sept. 20.

“E ‘yung may pa-surpise guests itong si Monis! (When Monis has surprise guests!)” she said. “Missed my [OG ‘Gimik’] girls!”

Santos, Töngi and Dizon posed for a photo, with Dizon extending her arm as if it was placed on someone’s shoulders. Santos then tagged fellow actress Jolina Magdangal, who was also part of the TV show, and stated that the spot beside Dizon was for her: “Insert @mariajolina_ig here.”

Töngi, who recently returned to the Philippines from the United States, also showed moments from meeting her fellow “Gimik” actresses, via her Instagram page as well.

“Gimik” aired from 1996 to 1999 on ABS-CBN. Other celebrities who were part of its cast include Marvin Agustin, Patrick Garcia, Kaye Abad, Diether Ocampo and the late heartthrob Rico Yan. JB
