Vina Morales stunned at New York Fashion Week as she modeled for an advocacy event seeking to help the prisoners and indigenous tribes in Davao del Norte.
The singer strutted down the runway in a green Joy Soo dress with a colorful corset and John Cloma beadwork, paired with a colorful floral headpiece, as seen on her Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 14.
“Taken at the Runway for the New York Fashion Week for MUSA event by my dear friend designer [Joy Soo]. Happy to support this advocacy,” she told fans.

Morales then dropped a “little trivia” about her that makes the event close to her heart: her great great grandmother who married an American soldier was from Davao del Sur’s Tagakaulo tribe. This she said in her Instagram post today, Sept. 15.
“Such an honor to do the grand finale walk at the New York Fashion Week of Musa event for a good cause. The Musa Advocacy that I am supporting helps the prisoners and indigenous tribes in Davao del Norte to have better lives,” she said.

Morales was commended by actress Teresa Loyzaga, TV and radio presenter Amy Perez, and TV writer Darla Sauler.
Morales is currently in the United States to hold solo shows in several cities there. She also performed with American musician Jim Brickman in some theaters in California last July and August. /ra
