James Reid will soon be treating fans to new music as he is set to drop a new album in October, five years since his last one was released.
The actor-singer admitted that his upcoming album was initially planned to be an extended play (EP), as per his Twitter post yesterday, Aug. 29.
“Hello, so I’m not releasing an EP anymore. Now it’s a 10 track album dropping in October,” he told fans. “Sorry I decided like 2 weeks ago. There was just too many songs I wanted to share with everyone. So be ready.”
Reid did not disclose more details about his new album, but stated the word “LOVESCENE,” seemingly indicating the title of the upcoming release.

This marks Reid’s latest album since “Palm Dreams,” which was released under his own label Careless Music back in 2017.
Prior to announcing his new album, Reid kept himself busy with several musical projects.
He released his song “Hello” and its official music video last year. It was followed last March by a remix of the track, “Hello 2.0,” for which he collaborated with GOT7 member Jay B and Taiwanese-American rapper ØZI.
Speculations that Careless Music is collaborating with the K-Pop agency Starship Entertainment has also been circulating since July. This comes after the actor-singer was seen visiting the company’s office in South Korea with Careless CEO Jeffrey Oh and actress Liza Soberano. /ra
