Herlene Budol could not help but fangirl after meeting her idol, comedian Vice Ganda, on the set of the ABS-CBN variety show “It’s Showtime,” where Budol and her fellow Binibining Pilipinas contestants visited.
The former “Wowowin” host expressed her admiration for Vice Ganda and they embraced, as seen on Budol’s Instagram page yesterday, July 26.
“Yung ma-hug ako ng nag-iisang unkabogable star na si meme Vice, happy si Binibini [no.8 niyo],” she said. “Salamat sa warm welcome niyo sa aming lahat ng [Binibining Pilipinas] sisters ko sa ‘It’s Showtime.'”
(To be hugged by the one and only unkabogable star [Vice Ganda, it made] your Binibini no. 8 happy. Thank you for welcoming me and my Binibining Pilipinas sisters in “It’s Showtime.”)
During the show, Budol also made the trademark greeting “What’s up, madlang people” after she was handed the microphone by show host Jugs Jugueta, as seen in a clip on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel, also yesterday.
“Sobrang idol ko po kayo. Alam ni Ryan ‘yan,” Budol told Vice Ganda, referring to his fellow host Ryan Bang. (You really are my idol. Ryan knows that.)
Budol is among the 40 candidates of this year’s Binibining Pilipinas who will compete for four crowns, namely Bb. Pilipinas International, Bb. Pilipinas Intercontinental, Bb. Pilipinas Globe and Bb. Pilipinas Grand International. The coronation night will be held on Sunday, July 31, with Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and Binibining Pilipinas Grand International 2016 Nicole Cordoves as hosts.
