Kryz Uy gives birth to second child with Slater Young

Kryz Uy and “Pinoy Big Brother” alum Slater Young welcomed a new addition to their family as she gave birth to their second child, a baby boy.
The lifestyle vlogger started having contractions in the early morning of May 21 which prompted her and Young to go to the hospital, as seen in a vlog on her YouTube channel yesterday, May 25.
Uy documented her whole birthing experience, showing her surrounded by the medical staff in the hospital’s delivery room. The couple admitted that the baby’s arrival was unexpected for them, but noted that they were fortunate they had already prepared everything beforehand.
Uy also narrated how she almost had an emergency cesarean section procedure after the umbilical cord was wrapped around the baby’s neck. Fortunately, her doctor was able to manage the situation and help Uy give birth through natural delivery.
“All in all, everything worked out for the best. Ang daming (There are so many) instances where it could have turned for the worse but we could say that we are very lucky,” Young said.
“We’re just so happy with this whole experience,” Uy added. “We are so happy to be sharing this journey with you guys.”
The couple calls their baby Shoti, a Chinese honorific which means baby brother, stating that they are yet to decide on the baby’s name.
Uy and Young announced they are expecting their second child via a YouTube vlog in November 2021. Meanwhile, they welcomed their firstborn Scottie in June 2020. JB
