Sharon Cuneta pays tribute to Fanny Serrano: ‘I know you’ve gone to heaven’

Sharon Cuneta honored the late celebrity makeup artist and stylist Fanny Serrano, who passed away at the age of 72 earlier this week.

The Megastar paid tribute to Serrano (real name: Felix Mariano Fausto Jr.) while showing a photo of her hand and Serrano’s on her Instagram page yesterday, May 12.

“The hands that made me feel and look beautiful for over thirty years, even when I didn’t think I did. Thank you, my dearest TF, my Tita Fanny, for your love, friendship, loyalty and for all the laughter we shared,” she said.

Cuneta expressed gratefulness for Serrano comforting her during “many occasions over all these three decades.”

“Thank you for wiping so many tears quietly as they poured from my eyes on so very many occasions over all these three decades. I find peace in that I kept my promise to you,” she added. “I know you have gone straight to heaven and I pray that I see and laugh with you again there someday… I love you so very much.”

Serrano’s death was announced by the fashion designer organization Designers Circle Philippines last Wednesday, May 11. The cause of death has not been disclosed as of this writing.

It can be recalled that in March last year, Serrano suffered from a massive stroke and was put on life support, as confirmed by Cuneta. The actress then revealed in May 2021 that Serrano was recovering at home.

Aside from working as a stylist and makeup artist, Serrano also appeared as an actor in films including “Babangon Ako’t Dudurugin Kita” and “Tarima,” as well as episodes of the ABS-CBN anthology series “Maalaala Mo Kaya.”  /ra
