Heart Evangelista proved that she is not one to back down from those who criticize her for splurging on luxury items after she was told she would not spend a lot if she “had a baby.”

The actress spoke about her spending habits while replying to netizen comments on her Instagram post yesterday, March 9. In the said post, she joked about her credit card being “maxed out” during the Paris Fashion Week.

“‘Yung rampa ka [nang] rampa kasi namumurblema kang umuwi kasi na max mo card mo,” she quipped. (When you’re on the ramp and you’re having trouble coming home because you’ve maxed out your card.)

One @mrvgstyle seemingly took Evangelista’s joke seriously and scolded her for splurging.

“Like the top influencers say, ‘Never use your credit card on luxury.’ Think cash only or Chiz! You also wouldn’t spend that kind of [money] if you had a baby,” the netizen told her.

“I would spend double if I had a baby,” Evangelista replied.

Evangelista had previously fired back at netizens who pressured her into getting pregnant and asked her why she’s childless.

She stressed time and again that one does not need to be a parent to feel whole or be happy. While the actress considers her life “good,” it would just be a “bonus” if she does get pregnant.

Evangelista married her husband, Sorsogon governor Francis “Chiz” Escudero, in February 2015. The actress got pregnant with twins back in 2018, but lost both babies after a miscarriage. She has since admitted that pregnancy is a sensitive topic for her.  /ra
