Nadine Samonte recalls time her doctor told her she couldn’t have kids
Nadine Samonte looked back at the day her doctor said she could not have children while expressing gratefulness for being given a family life she only imagined back then.
The “Starstruck” alum, diagnosed with polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and antiphospholipid antibody syndrome (APAS), recounted crying at church after receiving the news from her doctor, she stated on her Instagram page last Saturday, March 5.
Samonte, who is now a mother of three, also showed herself taking a bath with her youngest child Harmony while Chris Tomlin’s song “Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)” plays in the background.
“Every time kinakanta ‘to sa Church, I always cry and I remembered nu’ng wala pa ako anak tapos sabi ng doctor ko na hindi ako magkakaanak. Lumuhod talaga ako sa Church while pinapatugtog ‘to and grabe iyak ko nu’n,” she narrated. “I was 27 [years] old that time. But now can you imagine I have [three] beautiful kids.”
(Every time this is sung at church, I always cry and I remembered when I had yet to have a child and my doctor told me that I could not have babies. I kneeled at church while this was playing and I was crying so hard.)

Salamat po, salamat,” she said. “Kaya [sa] mga gusto magka-baby, ‘wag ka mawawalan ng pag-asa. Ibibigay ni Lord sa tamang panahon. Trust the Lord with all your heart.”
(This is all from you, Lord. You gave me a chance, you gave me a life that I didn’t expect. Thank you, thank you. So to those who want to have a baby, don’t lose hope. The Lord will give you at the right time. Trust the Lord with all your heart.)
