Bettinna Carlos has shown a love letter given to her by her non-showbiz husband Mikki Eduardo as she opened up on her family’s recovery after she suffered from a miscarriage.

The actress expressed appreciation for “what I have” by showing a photo of Eduardo and her daughter Gummy on her Instagram page yesterday, Feb. 2. Carlos’ post was accompanied by a letter penned by her husband for their 14th month as a married couple.

“Hi Love, the things we went through the past few days were tough. I can’t imagine how it was for you physically [and] emotionally. I admire your strength and how the Lord held you together,” Eduardo told Carlos.

Eduardo then assured her that despite their heartbreaking situation, he will still be there for her.

“This journey was challenging, but there’s no one else I’d rather walk through it. I love you. I’m here for you. Happy 14th month love,” he greeted the actress.

Carlos then described how her family has been coping with her miscarriage on her Instagram page today, Feb. 3.

“Our family is well by God’s grace. My husband and I [are] fully convinced of the Lord’s sovereignty, goodness and perfect will. Gummy [is] of course very saddened by the answered prayer going unanswered again and so soon. But we trust the Lord holds her heart too,” she said.

Carlos admitted she is still under a “cloud of nothingness,” which she believes is how grief is slowly presenting itself in her.

“I do have these random moments when a certain ‘cloud of nothingness’ comes that’s hard to explain. It’s like a state of blankness where there is nothing. Neither pain nor doubt, questions or confusion, none of those,” she said. “I’m not even sure I can say it feels numb [because] I feel peace for sure and so I can’t really say it’s bad.”

Carlos then recalled that she has never lost someone who is “part of [her],” and she believes God will create good things from the “nothingness” she is feeling.

“He made something out of nothing. Only He could create from nothingness. And what He created, they were good. He said it Himself,” she told the public, adding that she is looking forward to whatever good things will be given to her family.

“For now, I thank You for this quiet comfort, this safe place You’re giving me, Your grace through grief,” she addressed God.

Fellow celebrities sent their sympathies to Carlos and her family, including Camille Prats and Miriam Quiambao.

Carlos revealed that she had a miscarriage by showing her positive pregnancy test and sonogram on her Instagram page last Tuesday, Feb. 1. She comforted fellow mothers who were in similar situations, saying she believes a child’s life is full of meaning and purpose no matter how long they were with their families.

Carlos introduced Eduardo, an entrepreneur, to the public in August 2020. The couple then tied the knot on Dec. 2, 2020.  /ra
