WATCH: Elisse Joson insists McCoy de Leon not her ‘rebound’ during PBB stint

Elisse Joson has dismissed the idea that McCoy de Leon was supposedly just her rebound during their stint at the “Pinoy Big Brother” house in 2016, where their romance started.
Joson recounted how her relationship with De Leon progressed, after the latter asked her about being a “rebound,” in a Q&A vlog episode on Joson’s YouTube channel yesterday, Jan. 15. A “rebound” relationship refers to a relationship immediately undertaken by someone who has not yet moved on from a previous relationship.
“At that time, sa loob ng PBB house, natural yung nangyaring flow sa atin — kung paano tayo nagkakilala sa loob ng bahay, kung paano nag-evolve ‘yung relationship natin bilang parang acquaintance tapos naging confidant, naging more than friends, naging [mutual understanding],” Joson said.
(At that time, inside the PBB house, thing flowed naturally between us — from how we met inside the house, how our relationship evolved from being acquaintances to confidants, then to being more than friends, then to having a mutual understanding.)
The actress stressed that their relationship took its course “naturally,” noting how she already moved on from her past relationship before getting into a relationship with De Leon.
“Hindi ko naramdaman na rebound kasi hindi ko masasabing I was still hurting from a person, pero doesn’t mean na hindi ako naka-move on pa doon sa person na ‘yon,” she told De Leon. “Para sa ‘kin, hindi ko masasabi na rebound ‘yon kasi yung naging chemistry natin nag-flow naman naturally.”
(I did not feel that it was a rebound because I cannot say that I was still hurting from a person, but that doesn’t mean I still haven’t moved on from that person yet. For me, I cannot say it’s rebound because our chemistry flowed naturally.)
Joson also answered queries from their house helpers, who were with them in the vlog, about their wedding plans.
“When the time is right, we’ll feel it,” she said. “Priorities first, people first.”
The couple introduced their child Felize in an episode of the reality TV show in October last year, where they asked Big Brother to be the godfather of their child. JB
