Miss Universe Philippines Beatrice Luigi Gomez went on a desert adventure with her fellow Miss Universe candidates as they all explored Eilat, Israel on ATVs.
The Cebuana beauty queen looked striking in a red-orange blazer by Naomi Ng, and a vibrant printed top and shorts combo by Rhett Eala, as seen on the Miss Universe Organization’s Instagram page yesterday, Dec. 5.
Gomez rode an ATV at the desert with Miss Universe Armenia Nane Avetisyan. Candidates from Chile, Paraguay, British Virgin Islands and India were also among those shown posing next to similar vehicles.
Gomez then gave fans a closer look at her designer outfit on her Instagram page, also yesterday.
“Escape to the sun and [travel to Eilat]. First day in Eilat wearing @rhetteala @naomingdesigns,” she told fans.
Meanwhile, Avetisyan described Gomez as “nice, caring and real” via her Instagram page yesterday. She also showed moments of them together at the ATV tour.
“Today, we had a crazy day with my girls. If I got [paid] every time [I] heard ‘You are going fast’ or ‘Slower’ or ‘Please be careful,’ I would be a millionaire now,” she joked. “And meet my partner in crime [Beatrice Luigi Gomez]. She is so nice, caring and real!”
Gomez is representing the Philippines in the upcoming 70th Miss Universe pageant on Dec. 12, Israel time (Dec. 13 Philippine time). She was hailed Miss Universe Philippines last September, making history as the first openly gay woman to win the competition.
The beauty queen is hoping to take home the fifth Miss Universe crown for the Philippines, following Gloria Diaz, Margie Moran, Pia Wurtzbach and Catriona Gray. She flew to Israel last Nov. 27 to compete in the pageant. JB
