Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Beatrice Luigi Gomez has finally returned to her hometown Cebu City today, Nov. 2, and she looked elegant and radiant in her homecoming look.

The beauty queen celebrated her arrival in the city while donning her pageant sash and a white modern terno designed by Mike Yapching, the Miss Universe Philippines organization showed on its Instagram page.

Gomez was crowned Miss Universe Philippines 2021 last September, making history as the first openly gay woman to win the competition.

She succeeded Miss Universe Philippines 2020 Rabiya Mateo, who finished top 21 in the global Miss Universe pageant earlier this year.

The Miss Universe Philippines organization bestowed two additional titles this year on Taguig’s Katrina Dimaranan as Miss Universe Philippines Tourism and Cavite’s Victoria Vincent as Miss Universe Philippines Charity. The Miss Universe Philippines Tourism titleholder will replace the Miss Universe Philippines winner should the latter be unable to compete in Miss Universe.

Pangasinan’s Maureen Wroblewitz was proclaimed first runner-up, while Cebu province’s Steffi Rose Aberasturi was named second runner-up.  /ra
