Nadine Lustre is all set to star in a new project with Viva Entertainment after a court ordered her last June to uphold her contract with Viva Artists Agency.

The actress will be working with Diego Loyzaga and Epy Quizon, as shown in a virtual script reading on filmmaker Yam Laranas’s Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 25.

Laranas did not give further details about the project, but it appears it will be produced under Viva Films and will be available on the streaming service Viva Max, based on the accounts tagged in his post.

Lustre, who has been with Viva Artists Agency since 2009, was sued by the company last year for supposedly breaching her exclusive contract, which is supposed to end by 2029.

The Quezon City Regional Trial Court ruled last June that the actress cannot “unilaterally terminate her contract with Viva.” It also ordered Lustre not to take projects from other companies without permission from the agency.

Lustre’s legal counsel, Lorna Kapunan, said in an earlier statement that they would challenge the court ruling via a motion for reconsideration. According to the actress’ camp, Lustre has “fulfilled and continues to respect the prior contracts with third parties even after she terminated the agreement with Viva for various material breach committed by Viva.”  /ra
