The actress said she is taking her first steps in forgiving Contis, in an exclusive interview with Nelson Canlas for “24 Oras” yesterday, Oct. 12.
“Forgiveness is a work in progress. Lahat naman tayo we get hurt (we all get hurt), angry but you work on it every day to forgive people or whoever. You pray about it,” she told Canlas.
“Hindi kasi siya madaling bagay na ibigay, so surrender lang talaga kay God and I’m working on it,” she added. (It’s not an easy thing to do, so I just surrender it to God and I’m working on it.)
Reyes also recognized her fans, family and God who all served as her support system while she is staying abroad.
