Pia Wurtzbach’s sister, Sarah Wurtzbach, opened up about her past experience with gang assault as she hopes to raise awareness about mental health.

Sarah, who is an influencer in the United Kingdom, made this revelation in a video on her Instagram page yesterday, Oct. 10. She can be seen singing along to Moonlight Scorpio’s “Pretty Girl Magic” while she compared her past and present self.

According to Sarah, she was a victim of gang assault and grooming. She became “depressed for 10+ years,” was “anxious 24/7” and experienced post-traumatic stress disorder.

Despite what she experienced, Sarah now has a “happier outlook in life” and is “helping others do the same.” She also described herself as a “better mom and partner.”

“All I want to do is spread good, raise awareness and be my authentic self,” she said.

Pia and Sarah got involved in a public word war last year. Sarah claimed that their mother abused her and that the Miss Universe Philippines 2015 titleholder refused to support her emotionally and financially.

The two sisters have since managed to settle the matter privately and appeared to have made peace. Pia expressed her love for Sarah during her sister’s birthday last March. JB
