Sandra Lemonon has finally confirmed her relationship with Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) player Sol Mercado, whom she considers “the one” for her.
The model and Miss Universe Philippines participant revealed the romance between her and Mercado by showing photos of them together on her Instagram page yesterday, Sept. 29.
“Sol Mercado, you are the biggest blessing I have ever received. You make me feel all the butterflies and always put a big smile on my face,” she told him.
Lemonon then described her relationship with the athlete as “pure,” while also listing the things she loves about her boyfriend.
“The love that we share for one another is pure. It is a love I’ve always wished to share with my significant other,” she addressed Mercado. Lemonon added that she is grateful to “share [and] build a life together” with the PBA player.
“I can confidently say that you are the one for me,” she said. “Life is definitely better with you. I love you so much, my love.”
Lemonon and Mercado were first speculated to be in a relationship after they were spotted hugging during a beach trip with friends last April. The two did not address romance rumors back then.
Lemonon represented Taguig in Miss Universe Philippines last year and finished at the competition’s top 16. She also competed in Bb. Pilipinas 2018 and Miss World Philippines 2016.
Meanwhile, Mercado last played for the NorthPort Batang Pier back in 2019 and was eventually acquired by the Phoenix Fuel Masters. He is yet to play after sitting out the 2020 Philippine Cup. Mercado was previously engaged to actress Denise Laurel. JB
