Ruffa Gutierrez turns emotional as daughter Lorin begins college in California

Ruffa Gutierrez could not help but be proud of her eldest daughter, Lorin, as she embarks on her college journey in California in the US.
Gutierrez and her younger daughter, Venice, gave Lorin an emotional sendoff as the latter starts her freshman year at the Pepperdine University in Malibu, the mother shared on Instagram yesterday, Aug. 26.
“It was an emotional day for @venicebektas and I as we said our temporary goodbyes to @loringabriella who is off to start a new journey as a freshman at @pepperdine,” Gutierrez said.
“You’ve made us so proud as we’ve watched you grow up to be the beautiful, smart, hardworking young lady you are now,” the actress told her daughter.

The post came with several photos and a short video clip of Gutierrez and Venice with Lorin at the said university.
“Continue to persevere and live a life of purpose, service, and leadership. Focus on your studies,” the “#ProudMom” advised Lorin.
“We love you so much and we will be missing you every single day,” she added.
Lorin graduated from the British School Manila last June, making her Gutierrez’s “first graduate,” as the mother proudly announced also via Instagram.
Prior to entering college, Lorin also started pursuing a career in the entertainment industry as she signed with Viva Artists Agency last May.
Lorin, who turned 18 earlier this month, is the eldest daughter of Gutierrez with former husband Turkish businessman Yilmaz Bektas. Her younger sister, Venice, is 16. /ra
