Cebu’s Steffi Aberasturi claims top spot in Miss Universe PH runway challenge

Miss Universe Philippines candidate Steffi Aberasturi, who represents Cebu province, has earned the top spot in the beauty pageant’s runway challenge.
The Miss Universe Philippines Organization announced the delegates who made it to the top 15 for the challenge through its Instagram page yesterday, Aug. 15.
“Here are the Top 15 queens with the highest votes for our Runway Challenge! Congratulations to our delegates and their respective creative teams!” the organization stated.
This is the first time Aberasturi claimed top spot in a Miss Universe Philippines challenge. She was joined in the top three by model Maureen Wroblewitz and actress Kisses Delavin, who previously placed first in the pageant’s headshot and introduction video challenges.
The top 15 was completed by candidates Ayn Bernos, Leren Mae Bautista, Katrina Dimaranan, Maria Corazon Abalos, Noelyn Campos, Cheri Angel Anne Flejoles, Kamille Alyssa Quiñola, Gianne Kryssee Asuncion, Janela Joy Cuaton, Maica Cabling Martinez, Angela Nikki De Grano and Christelle Abello.

Aberasturi stunned fans with her runway video, where she donned various black dresses on a part of the under-construction Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway.
“When we were asked to wear a little black dress, I know [one] wouldn’t be enough (and thankfully MUP didn’t mention we should only wear [one]),” she quipped while showing her runway video on her Instagram page on Aug. 10.

The challenge is the third since Miss Universe Philippines Organization announced its top 100 delegates and the first since it revealed its top 75.
The delegates will go through a series of challenges to determine who will advance further into the competition. Each challenge will trim the roster until only 30 delegates remain.
All final candidates can be seen at the live coronation on Sept. 25. JB
