Jaya bids farewell to PH, flies off to US today to ‘start new journey’

The Queen of Soul Jaya is nothing but grateful as she bid farewell to the country before flying off to the United States today, July 10.
The veteran singer penned the short message to fans and loved ones while sharing a photo of herself and her kids with their luggage via Instagram.
“Let’s do this!!! Now it’s time to see my dear husband [Gary Gotidoc] and son [Gavin Gotidoc] and start this new journey God has planned all along,” Jaya said.

“By the way I just want to say thank you to ALL OF YOU who sent me sweet messages on FB, Messenger, Instagram, Twitter, text and Viber messages, have me and the kids hugs, prayers, basta lahat po ng mga sinabi nyo ay nakakataba ng puso (everything you said warms my heart) and I will always be grateful,” the singer emphasized.
Jaya had earlier announced that she would be leaving the Philippines this year, as reported by the Philippine Daily Inquirer on March 19. She said she has “surrendered everything to her Maker” after experiencing a series of challenges amid the pandemic and is going to start anew.
The Queen of Soul had already bid an emotional farewell to her “It’s Showtime” and ABS-CBN family on July 4, although she noted that her goodbye is only temporary. /ra
