Celebrity doctors Vicki Belo and Hayden Kho were among the volunteers who participated in the COVID-19 vaccination program in Makati City.
They administered vaccine doses to residents of Barangay Dasmariñas, Makati, as seen on Belo’s Instagram page yesterday, April 30. She also showed photos with Kho and her team from Belo Medical Group wearing personal protective equipment in the vaccination center.
“Recently, I’ve been thinking about my ‘why.’ Being able to help others will always be one of them,” she said as she thanked the local COVID-19 task force and the frontline workers she worked with during the program.
“It was an honor to serve with you,” she said.
Meanwhile, Kho also showed a group photo with Belo and their team through his Instagram page on the same day.
“Jab n’ Go! Thank you [Barangay Dasmariñas] for letting us serve with you. #VaccineSavesLives” he said, reminding people that vaccines are effective in preventing diseases.
Several celebrities commended the couple for their efforts to support frontliners amid the pandemic, namely Ogie Alcasid, Tim Yap and Angeline Quinto.
This is not the first time Belo has provided support for frontliners fighting COVID-19. Prior to volunteering, Belo and her company also gave meals to frontliners and donated personal protective equipment to hospitals in March last year. JB
