PBA star James Yap wrote his son Bimby a short and simple greeting for his 14th birthday.
“HAPPY 14th Birthday Bimb. I love you no matter what!” Yap said on his Instagram page yesterday, April 19, as he showed an old photo with his son.
“Wishing you all the best that life can offer. God bless you,” he added.
Kris Aquino has not yet greeted her son on her own social media platforms as of writing, though she did announce last April 11 that she will be limiting her children’s public appearances.
Yap and Aquino got married in 2005 but got an annulment seven years later, with Aquino keeping custody of Bimby.
Some of Yap’s fans were saddened that the cager could not spend time with his son, with one @ayentikyiko saying, “I hope you two will be allowed to freely bond [with] each other.”

“Nakaka-sad na lumang pic palagi ginagamit ni idol James Yap kada ipapakita niya anak niya,” another @5johnroxas said. (It’s upsetting that James always has to use old pictures when he wants to show his son.)

There has been continued hostility between Yap and Aquino since their annulment. She previously accused Yap of not giving child support for their son and at one point slammed him for giving Bimby a birthday greeting.
Bimby is Aquino’s only child with Yap, while her firstborn Josh is her son with actor Phillip Salvador. Yap now has two children with his partner Michela Cazzola. JB
