Gary Valenciano’s wife Angeli Pangilinan is positive for COVID-19
Gary Valenciano’s wife, Angeli Pangilinan, tested positive for COVID-19, and she opened up about her thoughts on contracting the disease.
“Guess why I posted this? Here I am isolated because I am Covid positive,” Pangilinan said while showing her medicines and disinfectants in an Instagram post last Saturday, March 20. But instead of being scared of her diagnosis, she has an optimistic view of her situation.
“I am married to a man who has had Type1 diabetes for 42 years. Who has had multiple seizures due to hypoglycemia,” she stated, listing other health problems that Valenciano faced in the past like tuberculosis, hepatitis, an open heart surgery and kidney cancer.
“Having gone through all that with him, I know that this is just another trial that we will overcome together,” Pangilinan said.

Pangilinan said she is looking at COVID-19 as “just another hurdle” that she would survive, much like the “excruciating pain” caused by the scoliosis spine surgery she had in 1986.

Pangilinan also reminded the public to wear masks, wash their hands and practice social distancing.
Last August, Valenciano expressed gratitude to his wife for her support as he faced his health problems, and said she is “one of the major reasons why I literally am still alive today.” In the same month, he also held a digital concert that raised over P1.2 million for families in need amid the ongoing pandemic.
