Gary V thanks wife Angeli for being why he’s ‘literally still alive’ in birthday tribute

Gary Valenciano expressed his gratitude to his wife of 36 years, Angeli Pangilinan, for standing by him through all the hardships they have endured.
The veteran singer-dancer took to Instagram today, Aug. 26, to share with fans his appreciation for Pangilinan, whom he said is “one of the major reasons why I literally am still alive today.”
“Through the very best and the very worst of times this woman has stood by me and for me. So often she’s been misunderstood and judged for her uncompromising efforts in doing and sticking to what is right,” Valenciano said.
“No she’s not perfect but it’s wonderful to see and know how many she’s helped in very special ways,” he added.

Valenciano’s tribute greeting came with photos of several sweet moments of him with Pangilinan, including a black and white solo throwback picture of his wife.
The doting husband reiterated how Pangilinan stood by him even through all the health problems he has faced. For one, other than living with Type 1 diabetes, he had undergone surgery to remove cancer from his kidney in 2018. He has also survived going under a bypass procedure. He found out through an annual check-up that he has since been cancer-free.
“It’s not easy living with an artist like me; living with the health conditions I have, yet after everything that has come our way… she’s still here loving me the way a wife should,” Valenciano stressed.
“There may be things in me that still need fixing up but I know that with every step I take she’ll be there praying for me as she always has. And in the end… when our finish lines are in sight… she will still be there with me. I love you Angeli. Thank you for all that you are hon. Have a happy and richly blessed birthday @angelivalenciano,” he added.
Valenciano and Pangilinan marked their 36th wedding anniversary just last Aug. 6, which is also the singer’s birthday. They have been married since when Valenciano was 19 years old and Pangilinan was 25. JB
