Reality show ‘Bling Empire’ renewed for season 2
The reality show that follows the so-called true crazy rich Asians, “Bling Empire,” has been greenlit for a second season.
Streaming platform Netflix made the announcement yesterday, March 10. It also confirmed that hit reality show “Selling Sunset” was getting renewed.

“Bling Empire,” filmed in 2019 and released last January, delves into the lives of ridiculously wealthy Asians living in Los Angeles. Filled with glamor and drama, the eight-episode series has been described as binge-worthy. The all-Asian cast involves a group of friends that includes eccentric heiress Anna Shay, DJ Kim Lee, Singaporean entrepreneur Kane Lim and model Kevin Kreider.
Besides parties and shopping sprees, the show gives a glimpse into Asian culture when it comes to wealth—for instance, some cast members reveal they have been cut off from the family fortune for certain reasons. Feuds abound, as well as personal problems that money alone cannot solve.
Filipino-American executive producer Brandon Panaligan is “Bling Empire’s” showrunner. He has produced other hit reality shows such as “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” and “Deaf U.”
“Selling Sunset” has also been renewed for two more seasons on Netflix, meaning it will run on until a fifth season, Deadline reported. The series follows high-end real estate realtors in Los Angeles from The Oppenheim Group. /ra
