Gerald Anderson distributed relief goods this weekend with girlfriend Julia Barretto in Zambales as part of his birthday celebration.

The couple handed out donations to 300 Aeta families in Barangay San Agustin yesterday, March 6, according to the Philippine Coast Guard. Anderson turns 32 today, March 7.

Anderson, a lieutenant commander of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary, gave basic commodities such as rice, canned goods, instant noodles, biscuits, coffee, chocolate drink and hygiene supplies with the help of Barretto, 23, and nonprofit group World Vision Philippines.

“Nagpapasalamat ako kasi kasama ko kayo sa birthday ko. Sana nakapagbigay ng kaunting saya sa inyo ang pagbisita namin dito. Hiling ko rin na maging ‘partner’ kami ng komunidad na ito sa mga susunod pang pagkakataon,” Anderson reportedly said during the event.

(Thank you for being with me on my birthday. I hope our visit gave you some joy. I would also like to become a partner of this community for future events.)

The outing comes after Anderson confirmed in an interview last Friday, March 5, that he and Barretto are a couple. The actor also happens to have ties to Zambales after he put up a resort in the province.

Anderson joined the Philippine Coast Guard in 2016. JB
