Busy actor wins award . . . before earning it
Little did Nonchalant Rogue’s (NR) followers, as well as people from his home network, know that while they were celebrating the fact that he recently received another military decoration, people in the military are actually raising their eyebrows over it.
NR carries several post-nominal titles, but this latest one is the most controversial. Military insiders think he got his only because of his celebrity status. In order to earn this particular honor, a soldier has to participate in a selection program that is regarded as one of the toughest in Philippine military. However, training was something that NR has only found time to do recently—almost half a year after the title was awarded to him—because of his tight schedule as an actor.
People are waiting for him to complete—and pass—the selection program; and while they don’t doubt that he would, they just thought that he should’ve worked on earning the title first before opting to flaunt it.
