MANILA, Philippines — After previously revealing that she is now deaf in one ear, Lani Misalucha has now opened up on her struggle with singing.

“I’m still struggling with my singing,” Misalucha, known as the “Asia’s Nightingale”,  admitted in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

“I cannot hear my voice well as well as the music. With the tinnitus being too predominant in my head is oftentimes masking the other sounds around me that also oftentimes driving me nuts,” she added.

It was in December 2020 when the singer revealed that she is now deaf in her right ear after battling bacterial meningitis.

Despite her struggles, Misalucha was still thankful for the support of her fans.

“But with all of you cheering me on I’m slowly regaining my confidence. Thank you uli (again).”
